Honoring Opals Legacy

through LOVE

Get to
know us

Opal’s Workshop of Love was created from a place no parent ever wants to stand—but a place where love never ends.

My daughter, Opal May, was born with a complex congenital heart condition and bravely fought through more than most ever will. After her open-heart surgery, she faced a rare complication and spent nine days on ECMO before gaining her angel wings at just six months old.

In the middle of unimaginable grief, I knew one thing for certain—Opal’s life mattered, and her love deserved to continue touching the world.

This space was created to honor her.

Opal’s Workshop of Love exists to bring comfort to families walking through medical journeys, to support grieving parents who feel alone, and to raise awareness for congenital heart disease in a way that is gentle, honest, and parent-friendly.

Here, you’ll find:

• Support for grieving parents

• Letters to heaven to help express the words we wish we could say

• An angel memorial space to honor precious lives

• Simple, understandable CHD education for families

• A community rooted in compassion, love, and remembrance

We also give back through donations to children’s hospitals—providing blankets, care packages, and essentials to families who need a little extra comfort during the hardest days.

Opal’s story didn’t end—it transformed into something that continues to give.

If you’re here, you are not alone.

And neither is your child’s memory.

Why This Matters

Because no parent should have to navigate grief alone.

Because behind every hospital door is a family whose world has been turned upside down.

Because congenital heart disease affects more families than most people realize—and many are left trying to understand it while living through it.

And because even the smallest acts of kindness—a blanket, a letter, a shared story—can bring comfort in moments that feel impossible.

This matters because Opal mattered.

Her life, her fight, and her love deserve to continue making a difference.

Through Opal’s Workshop of Love, her legacy lives on—reaching other families, holding space for grief, and reminding parents that they are seen, supported, and never alone.
